It’s back garden tour time across the South and this year, Stanly County will be showcased in a new occasion hosted by the Stanly County Historical Society. The Courtyard and Backyard Tour will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 30.

Proceeds from this rain or shine party will fund academic applications and preservation initiatives of the Stanly County Historical Modern society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit business.

This self guided tour will make it possible for entry to 10 private and public courtyard and backyard garden spaces stretching from Albemarle to Richfield that will inspire gardeners of all ranges. The tour features a range of back garden spaces such as Do-it-yourself landscapes, restored official gardens and centuries aged family farms.
