There’s a classic appeal to this six-bedroom Sunnybrook Estates home

This Dallas home in the Sunnybrook Estates neighborhood has classic appeal and timeless design. The home has an estate-like feel with a fountain in the driveway, lush landscaping and a detailed design around the front door. The home is 10,194 square feet with six bedrooms, six bathrooms and three half-bathrooms.

The home at 9720 Audubon Place was designed by architect Richard Drummond Davis, according to the listing information. It was built in 2014 and is located on a 1.01-acre lot. Co-listing agent Sharon Redd with Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate said the home has a sleek, elegant feel.

“It’s an exceptional blend of traditional elements, because the house is not a modern or transitional house from the exterior, but the traditional elements blended with this really great current and transitional feel,” Redd said.

Inside the foyer, there’s a staircase with a detailed railing that leads to the second level. The formal dining room and formal living room are located on either side of the foyer. Both rooms have abundant natural light and views of the front of the property through large windows. The home’s design couples elements like crown molding and a detailed fireplace surround with an all-white color palette and more modern light fixtures.

Past the foyer and toward the back of the house, there’s a large family room with a fireplace on one side and sets of French doors that lead to the covered patio outside. There’s a wet bar with seating on one end of the family room, which is easily accessible from the kitchen, courtesy of a pass-through butler’s pantry. The kitchen and breakfast room are adjacent to the family room and have access to the covered patio through more sets of French doors. In the kitchen, the minimalist feel of the all-white cabinets and marble countertops is complemented by a detailed vent hood over the stove and the Ann Sacks tile backsplash.

The primary suite is located on the first level of the home and has a fireplace in the bedroom and access to the backyard through a set of doors. The primary bathroom has a separate bathtub and shower, two sinks and a striking geometric pattern on the floor. The suite also has two walk-in closets and a coffee bar, according to the floor plan.

Two offices are located on the first floor of the home, plus a utility room and two garages (a one-car garage and a two-car garage).

The home’s remaining five bedrooms are located on the second level. One of the bedrooms is a guest suite with a separate entrance. It has a separate entrance in the garage and an entrance from the main portion of the house. The guest suite has a bedroom, living space, bathroom and kitchenette. In addition to the upstairs bedrooms, there’s also a fitness room, a game room and additional storage.

Outside, the home has a covered patio with a cooking area, a pool, a spa and a firepit. The home also has a storm shelter in the garage, Megan Stern said.

The home is listed for $8,299,000 by Sharon Redd and Megan Stern of Dave Perry-Miller Real Estate.
