Floor & Decor expands to Pearland with newest store

Floor & Decor, an Atlanta-based specialty retailer of hard-surface flooring to homeowners and professionals, opened a warehouse store and design center at 3350 Business Center Drive in Pearland. The location is the company’s 12th in the Houston market. The store has about 50 full-time and part-time employees. There is to be a grand opening for builders, contractors, architects, designers, remodelers, flooring installers and Realtors on Feb. 2.

LaTrelle’s, a Houston-based firm specializing in owning and operating franchised and licensed restaurants in major airports across the country, announced a concessions contract with the city of Houston that will bring new restaurants to William P. Hobby Airport. Under the contract, LaTrelle’s will begin work on the renovation and revitalization of the airport’s dining venues this year. Occupying 17,000 square feet, the restaurants will include Common Bond, the Rustic, Velvet Taco, Dish Society, Pinks Pizza, Fat Cat Creamery, Peet’s Coffee, Jersey Mike’s, Wendy’s and Dunkin’. Construction is expected to take approximately two years to complete and will be done in phases to provide uninterrupted food and beverage service, according to LaTrelle’s. Founded in 1979, LaTrelle’s operates more than 30 restaurants in international airports throughout the U.S.

Midway, a privately owned real estate Houston investment and development firm, announced the upcoming opening of Smile Doctors at its CityCentre mixed-use development at Beltway 8 and Interstate 10. The orthodontics practice is among six retail tenants to sign leases in 2022 totaling 25,000 square feet. The deals, including Daily Gather restaurant, Nike Live, Epic-Cycles bicycle shop, Tempur-Pedic and Western boot store Tecovas, bring occupancy of the complex to 94 percent. The office space is 97 percent leased, while the retail space is 90 percent leased.

Massage Envy, a provider of massage and skin care services, has opened at 8824 N. Highway 146 in Baytown, according to the Baytown Chamber of Commerce.

Next Level Jiu Jitsu leased 2,625 square feet at 26440 FM 1093 in Richmond. Jason Gibbons and John Buckley of Finial Group represented the landlord.

DermaClinic, a provider of laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal, skin tightening treatment, facials and post-op massages, leased 2,380 square feet at 2702 Westheimer. Erika Yeguez of Century 21 Olympian represented the tenant. Elise Weatherall and Katherine Wildman of Wulfe & Co. represented the landlord.

Woodforest National Bank opened its 28th retail branch in the Houston area. Located inside Walmart at 10750 Westview Drive, the branch offers full-service banking with lobby services. Headquartered in The Woodlands, Woodforest has more than760 branches nationwide and 211 in Texas.
